for reading we have been reading water worries and kopuwai and the clever girl. For water worries we learned things about the weather and oceans, rivers, lakes and streams We learned cool facts like that: The sun, which drives the water cycle, heats water in the ocean. Although the wastewater from your house is cleaned at sewerage plants before it’s put back into rivers, water from outdoor drains doesn’t get treated. This means anything that goes down a drain ends up in the water supply: household cleaners, paint, animal waste, herbicides, pesticides, and run-off from roads. This dirty water is back in the water cycle, but it’s of little use to us. and we learned other cool facts too about that! And for kopuwai and the clever girl we learned about: some weird legend that says that there was a girl and she explored the wild for her people but she did...
Kia Ora Isla, I really enjoyed learning about the history of flat whites! I too thought the Australians evented the flat white but I was wrong. The Aussies sure love to claim New Zealand inventions! Next time, why don't you explain what a flat white consists of? Why is a flat white different to a cappucino? I personally haven't had a flat white but you've convinced me to try!
